Gamry’s new battery holders allow researchers to connect a large variety of batteries and pouch cells Philadelphia, PA. – October 2, 2018  –  Gamry Instruments, the manufacturer of high-quality electrochemical instrumentation, has announced the launch of two new battery holders, the Universal and Pouch Cell Holders.   Both new products are designed to help researchers connect a larger variety of batteries to their Gamry potentiostats. The Pouch Cell Holder allows high currents up to 30A to be passed through the holder without danger of destroying the holder.   In addition, the holder allows four-point measurements. The Universal Battery Holder allows connection to a large variety of batteries at currents up to 30A, from coin-sized to larger cylindrical shapes. The holder has a millimeter gauge for coarse adjustment of the battery contacts simply by tilting the spring-loaded moveable contact and sliding it along the rails to the length of the battery.   Both new products

Gamry Instruments Introduces an Eight Channel Instrument Designed for Impedance Measurements on Batteries   The New Gamry EIS Box is a Multiplexed Eight Channel Instrument Philadelphia, PA. – September 24, 2018  –  Gamry Instruments, the manufacturer of high-quality electrochemical instrumentation, has announced the launch of a new eight channel instrument designed for impedance measurements on batteries or other devices such as supercapacitors or fuel cells.   The EIS Box is isolated from ground and capable of EIS from 100 kHz down to 10 µHz. The EIS Box comes with eight 3 m cell cables and is designed to be used in conjunction with a battery tester/cycler to provide impedance testing. Cycle testing of the battery would be provided by the battery tester/cycler. The device is 3U high and can be installed in a standard 19-inch rack. Gamry Instruments has been awarded the exclusive distributorship for the United States and China of the MicroVacuum’s Line of QCMs MicroVacuum of Budapest, Hungary has named Gamry Instruments as the exclusive distributor of their Quartz Crystal Microbalance Philadelphia, PA, September 6, 2018 – Gamry Instruments of Warminster, PA is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with MicroVacuum of Budapest, Hungary.   The agreement awards Gamry exclusive distribution of their Quartz Crystal Microbalance instruments. This line of QCMs includes 3 models: QCM-I, QCM-I Mini, and the eQCM-I Mini.   Each of these three QCMs includes impedance and dissipation monitoring, thereby expanding Gamry’s offerings for surface characterization of both rigid and non-rigid films.
